Friday I weigh the load on site scale, was'nt centered and hit the yellow pole.Damaged the heck out of the lower side step on passenger side.Have'nt done that in over a yr.Had you seen that you would have thought whos driving a rookie.Yard guy laughed, lol.I got back called safety at my company and I pay for a new side step and bracket.People should always have bungie cords for a quick fix till it gets to the shop.Igot on the highway and heard this clanking sound ,so I stop and see step was dragging. I see a bungie on the catwalk and used that. Badda boom good as new, lol.

People become too confident in their abilities they do the craziest things or forget the simplest things.

That is something I could easily do today because 95% of my time out here has been pulling a 10'6" spread.

Not doing your pump down and brake test everyday and every time you change trailers.

This guy was on Hwy 80 near the San Francisco Bay bridge. Just a little traffic here. Pulling a 20 ft container that had the tandems slid all the way back.. But apparently slid it back and didn't lock the tandems in the hole. Tandem here .... About 100 feet away one tractor, one container chassis sitting on the concrete. Now that's more than a rookie mistake.. Try explaining this to your boss or the cops.
