That is the price for gaining valuable information, you don't expect it to be free do you.

I love this thread! I pulled a good one the other day.

I haven't been to New York in probably three years, and I decided to cut down form Albany area to I-84 on the Taconic Parkway. I remember someone telling me about Trucks and Parkways in New York, but not till after the Trooper reminded me.

In my defense they took down the regular "Passenger Cars Only" signs and replaced them with this idiotic sign: "Trucks with R Permits Not Allowed." The trooper didn't even know what that meant, and I thought it meant no permit trucks, i.e., overweight/oversized. Apparently in New York "R Permits" is some cryptic reference to most commercial vehicles.

I have U.S Legal (good idea if you don't have it) and they got me a lawyer in that area who is going to go to court and try to work some magic. Sometimes they know a judge or plead mercy and get somewhere (apparently 92% of the time), so we'll see. At least it will drag it out till I have to pay it!

Had that thing on for a few the other day. Just some Werner driver saying he’s going to switch to Swift and lease a truck and make big money... followed by tons of laughing.

I don’t know very much about leasing at all except what I read here. The response from the rest of the truck stop certainly implies it was a bad idea.

I just know people sign up for it not knowing you will have to pay for fuel, repairs and etc. Most of TransAm reviews when I was looking into them was lease guys.
