There are a couple. Bobtail only and occasionally a very special move.

DM Bowman had statues of the Union and Confederate Soldiers assisting each other off the battlefield Cast in Bronze in Arizona about the mid 90's time period. It was delivered to the DM Bowman Frederick Yard in Maryland via North American Van Lines with the CEO and the senior driver number one or two involved in that move. at the same time a company flatbed brought in the stone base of the monument on a 96 inch 48 foot fruehauf deck which pretty much maxed it out probably. (A educated guess)

Both were delivered to the old Gettysburg Battlefield Visitors Center next to the National Cemetary on the hill there.

Who had taken US 87 Alt between Marble Canyon and Fredonia, Az. Some parts of that highway looks like this road only US 87 Alt is paved.

I think you mean US 89A. Back in the late 80's I traveled that route 3 times a week with a live floor trailer hauling pine bark form the Kaibab saw mill in Fredonia. That route was restricted to 96" trailers at that time. I think it's closed to all truck traffic except for local deliveries now.

Yes its US-89 A. My bad. I was there 2 years ago. There are no restriction signs near Mormon church and in Fredonia.

Doesn't the A mean alternate? And it's open for trucks.

yes just find the nearest pilot with a Mc Donald's. if you see lots of trucks parked on the fuel island. then you know you are at the right spot

That reminds me of the time I pulled the plug on my reefer rendering my trailer invisible, and went offroading through the desert at night to bypass the Arizona port of entry in Ehrenburg AZ.
    Good times....
