Do you guys know of any way to where i can have a mobile broadband connection and hook up an xbox 1 to it? Is that commonly done in the industry for gamers? I just need a solid connection that wont be booted off every time i try and play madden or any other games.

I use to game. I was on Madden all the time. Went i to trucking and found I had no time for gaming. Wheels were turning expect for 10 bour breaks and by then I was so tired I would just fall right asleep. But to answer your question truck stops have wireless internet but have to pay for it. They have various plans but not always best connection.

I have a Verizon wireless prepaid phone and use it's mobile WiFi hotspot to play Diablo on ps4. 4glte is pretty fast and can def run those games. It also never disconnects. Not sure how much bandwidth Madden would use. Also truck stop internet is usually terrible.

Don't even bother trying to connect to the WIFI at a truck stop unless you're the only truck in the lot. I've never been anywhere I could get it to work consistently without constantly having to reconnect.

T-Mobile with a rooted phone will give you unlimited hotspot tethering but the service is spotty. You'd have to have an android phone and it has to be rooted. Otherwise you'll have a 7gb hotspot limit.

AT&T or Verizon with a large data plan are your best bets really but they come with a price tag that might make you reconsider.
    I've got a 15 gb plan with AT&T that I pay $130/month for.

Ya, ATT & Verizon is way too pricey for my net needs... Looking at T-Mobile or cutting way back on my net needs and looking for other options of entertainment on my 10 hour breaks... Before passing out.

    I'm still not sure.
I rarely take straight 10 hour breaks.
Most of our loads are longer, so they usually have some extra time. Most of my breaks are longer than 10.

As for your Internet thing, on eBay you can find for sale old Unlimited Verizon and ATT Plans, expensive but well worth it.

I use my Verizon phone as a hot spot for my Xbox One. Usually don't play online but I have a few games that require an internet connection to play. Also play Netflix through my console with my phone WiFi. Usually have no problems, but like any cell service it depends on the area you're in.

The truck stops that have IdleAir have wired WAN ports on their capsules. Back when Modern Warfare 3 was on and popping, I used to hook up to that and play online. Not sure if they do it now, but they even supply you with the RJ-45 cord.

I know it's not a "mobile" option, but it might be a better way to get the solid connection you need.

Its what I do for internet. Its nice to have a good internet source that doesn't require you to be at a truck stop. (Not that this is good internet.) Its expensive but I also don't have to worry about data usage. I've had enough bandwidth to play multiplayer games and netflix without either having issues. Also seen speeds up to 6MB/s downloads when patching a game. (I've also seen very slow speeds in a congested area.)

What are you meaning by unlimited plans? Do such plans require a modem, can you elaborate a little please?
