But heavy drinking will? Recent surveys have shown, smoking weed has outpaced alcohol for the 1st time in history. Coming from "Beer City", I never thought I'd see the day. I remember seeing a vintage advertisement for some kind of whiskey, with the old timer telling the young drinker, "son, I've been drinking XXX whiskey for 50 years", like that's supposed to be some kind of plus. People are always going to be people, and will take whatever measures it takes to relieve the pain.

 

If one followed " latest research" on everything, from eggs to coffee, you'd go crazy ( research finds). Moderation or abstaining, is the best policy

It's our food that's poisoning us. I get almost DAILY recalls, the latest particularly disturbing, is Boars Head lunch meat, over 207,000 pounds being recalled because of salmonella concerns. Listeria too. Everything from canned coffee, to candy, and the standard recall, ground beef.All that processed lunch meat makes me sick, I think we are processing it too fast and companies trying to stay in business are buying ingredients from Mexico to save money, and that's where the problems begin. American companies that still use trusted ingredients, are forced to charge unreal amounts to stay afloat. Why, I was appalled the other day, a box of matzoh crackers were almost 7 BUCKS! They used to be .99 cents.I tried to complain, but they didn't have a complaint site, for good reason. Tell you what, I've found, you are better off eating junk food. than this processed crap.
