Keep in mind the antenna on the factory perch on the passenger side (As shown above) is multiplexed for use with a TV and the in dash am/fm radio.

I would be worried about damaging the coax with it being pinched opening and closing the door

Hey mike wouldn't mind seeing a picture of your Antenna, I've read some good reviews on the skip shooters on another forum , but I like the look of the predator 10 k plus the fact if a piece of the shaft breaks it can be replaced .

So I'm guessing single shaft 10 k any particular size that suits, I'm sure they move around quite a lot when your on the highway they look a little top heavy maybe not just as heavy as a monkey made

They are coming out with the 7 footer soon. I checked with Ray in W. Memphis a couple weeks ago and he said they expected to get some in this month. I doubt you can tell the difference between a 7 footer and the 10K in performance. 10K more apt to get stolen as well. I think the SkipShooter is the way to go, but that is just my opinion. It is tuneable, my 5 footer didn't need much tuning, only a little "fine" tuning, and at 7ft, it will help to overcome the lack of rf ground on these new trucks. "Longer is Better!"

There's more than enough of a gap so that it doesn't.

That's always a problem Antenna theft ,as well as getting your rig broken in and having a radio stole there is always a solloution you could take the predator 10 k off the Antenna mount and leave it in the cab when you are having time off 'what particular size 10 k do most truckers go with I've noticed also dual a dual coil and some drivers even run dual 10 k's on Each mirror

I thought the peterbilt 389's still run there Antennas mounted on the mirrors in fact of just viewed my friends 389 to check, so have you mounted a secondary bracket on the back wall of the sleeper .
