    During a forced regen (cleaned DOC/DPF) I’m noticing that the turbocharger is at 67k revs and the actuator is showing 82%. Ive read that I should be at 87% or higher and 40-45k revs. Are these the first signs of a failing turbocharger? Or do I have a bigger issue upstream?

    Those specs are for a Cummins CM871. ISX15 is newer common rail engine and does have higher speed turbo with CM 2250 and up. This is straight from the manual;
    During a stationary (parked) regeneration, these are the typical values for a healthy system:

    • EGR differential pressure - less than 12.7 mm-hg [0.5 in-hg]
    • EGR valve position measured (percent open) - less than one percent
    • Exhaust gas pressure - 3302 to 3937 mm-hg [130 to 155 in-hg]
    • Intake manifold pressure - 381 to 609.6 mm-hg [15 to 24 in-hg]
    • Percent load - less than five percent with the fan ON
    • Turbocharger actuator position measured (percent closed) - 82 to 87 percent
    • Turbocharger speed - 50k to 74k rpm

    pushbroom and spsauerland Thank this.
