How is it? Looks like it'll shave ~35 miles vs 94 to 16, but ~15 miles appear to be unpaved...
I'm in a sleeper cab pulling a 53' van (72' long grossing 80k)...

It's paved. Good shot too.
double yellow Thanks this. -
Pretty interesting,
Google maps shows the road but wont even let you select it as an option and MapQuest doesn't even show the road on the map...double yellow Thanks this. -
Looks like there is a weight restriction on the gravel section:
http://www.mdt.mt.gov/travinfo/restrictions.shtml
400lb/in per tire (9250 limit on my 295mm steers) and 32k per tandem. -
Redacted. Need to go to bed before giving navigational advice for Montana...
-
16 is the better road and the speed limit is 65 on 16.
-
Well I forgot about the switches on 261... I trust double yellows competence as a driver... But its getting to be that time of the year, could be hazardous.
-
I drive 55 so higher speed limits just mean more pissed off motorists... -
I looked again at google maps and from Sidney heading south on 261 it is showing 2 lanes then from the halfway mark ( Right even with Trotters South Dakota ) it doesn't even show anything until you zoom in all the way and then shows a single line that runs down to Wibaux... Guess that means it gravel...
Just zoomed in on "satellite" view and confirming what I said about the halfway mark ( directly west of Trotters ) it goes from pavement to graveldouble yellow Thanks this.
