They like to hire in high volume freight lanes. While we can run wherever we want, they figure you will run the area you live in, so ICs are hired based on where they live.
There is a long waiting list but how it breaks down by region I couldn't say. But Someone that lives in a hot freight lane like PA or MD will probably not have to wait as long as someone from say LA or MS.
More and more Live loads/unloads on the board!

Memphis don't have a lot of freight?

Memphis is ok for freight out. Freight in sucks though.

preload in Topeka just became a live load. Supposed to pick up today at 1000, and drop today in Mt Pleasant, IA. Told me to hook back up to my MT, and they will live load it, hopefully in 3-4 hours. Probably get me out of here just under the 6 hour detention timeframe. This is when short loads can really suck.

I've never met a driver starting out with one truck who had 50 k cash for a maintenance reserve on top of a down payment . Ever .

Well ####. Great advice, but maybe overshooting the savings needed to start a lease on Choice. With 50k in the bank is be advising to go to the bank and buy a truck to bring on, not lease..
For someone willing to work hard and doing a SFI lease I'd lose a 0 off that amount assuming they'd be putting a good chunk of change away for potential repairs.
