The number of parents I see with phone in hand while driving a few blocks in our small town to drop kids off at school is insane! Especially right in school grounds with kids running around and parents are dropping off kids while scrolling their phone. I even saw one lady get out of her car while scrolling her phone to help get her kid out of the car!! I about lost my cool

Its a generalization borne from the general dont tread on me mentality coupled with the fact that they had phones for a long while before the no hand-held laws. As for the locality, ragged out petes and kws abound in that area. Im at least as dubious of the pennsyltuckee peterbilt mafia as i am the white volvo one. And when it comes to mechanical issues, its obvious on a ragged out FL, a ragged out pete could actually look perfectly fine until you open the hood or lool closer at the frame, and thats no guarantee, some of those good old boys do the equivalent of dosong a nag with ginger by jb welding holes in the frame.

Well, tell ya what there hoss…. Got a level 2 in Kentucky 2 weeks ago on my so called pos in your eyes. Passed with flying colors.

DOT officer told me last year that my truck was a pleasure to look at, especially since everything was correct and as it should be.

Don’t know where you’re seeing all these junk ### Pete’s & KW’s, unless it’s some logging trail in a holler, I’ve seen a few rough ones come out of there.

Duct tape, tarp straps, and small ratchet straps is what I’ve noticed on the biggest piles rolling down the road. Majority of them look as though the truck and driver came from a 3rd world area….

I guess I’m really old school.
My phone is either back in the bunk or up in an overhead compartment. If anyone wants to talk to me, leave a message and I’ll call you back at my convenience.
And I won’t be caught dead wearing one of those stupid looking headsets!
Hell, I don’t even have a GPS! (Except for the one on my boat).
The only thing I listen to is some Merle or G. Strait coming out of the stereo.

Hey now...... @OLDSKOOLERnWV I'm easily offended. 1700 miles from home when the POS SoDak roads cause some ruckus

Who cares. Hold it up so you can see the road not down on your lap so you can't see the road.

I don't drive fast enough to see truckers left windows. There's always some FedEx riding the left lane where I live. 95% of the time it's a FedEx. Those people bother me more because the twenty vehicles behind them are backed up creeping beside me taking away an out.

:):)…. It happens to the best of us lol.

We’re all gonna have problems no matter what kind of truck we drive. Thing is, it doesn’t need to remain looking like the hind quarters of bad luck for the next year.

When I was running WV to NY weekly back to back, seen some real doozies up on 90 between Dunkirk and Cleveland. Thing was, most were some newer slope nosed plastic truck with body panels flopping, grill held in with tarp straps,

It’s bewildering what you see if you just look around a little.

I’ve seen FedEx pulling doubles with their feet up on the dash. Seen one guy with his phone apparently velcroed to the center of the steering wheel, and was watching a movie or something, it was lit up pretty good. Stay safe out there….

What boggles my mind is, what the hell do people do on a cell phone every waking moment of their lives?

I see passenger cars all day long, all occupants and quite often also the driver, people walking, in elevators, at restaurants, people jogging or on bikes ffs ....... all with their face in a screen, oblivious absolute to the world outside of their own finite presence.
