I've never seen a market so bad that I couldn't at least find one single run that paid my weekly bottom line and got me back home empty. I'm knocking on wood and hoping I never see times that bad. They would have to be REALLY bad for that to happen to me. I live in a great freight area, have good connections and extremely low overhead.
I have spent this boom setting myself up to sit for at least a year if need be and I've rebuilt pretty much everything on my truck along with 18 brand new virgin tires so I'm pretty optimistic I can ride out nearly anything at this point.

I'm new. I'm watching and learning. I have still loans to pay off and other expenses. I need a security blanket for now. Once things ease, I might change things how I see them. There is always take or give...ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -

Yeah I’m starting to sniff out a conspiracy of some sorts. We’re going on three years now and they still can’t produce enough vehicles for people to buy. A sales manager at a large car dealership confided in me that they’re actually making more money right now than they did selling three times the cars. They have agreements with the manufacturers to only produce cars with certain items on them that create a massive markup. I.e. a 22,000 MSRP car you’ll pay 32,000… The dealer used to make about 2500 on that transaction now they’re making about 6000. This can go on for as long as it can as far as they’re concerned.
The other thing that cracks me up as we continually hear almost every day about the coming food shortage. Why is there gonna be a food shortage? What’s gonna change and what’s gonna happen? There’s nothing in the forecast for this other than they’re going to make it happen. That’s what’s going on.Beaver9 and Dadetrucking305 Thank this. -
