Why do you assume I would be making less money everyday ?.. I'am quite sure I have been around trucks long enough to know what's good or what's bad.. beside you must think that Iam gonna try to buy a clapped out Volvo from some guy in a yellow stained tee shirt and flip flops.. thats hardly what I shop for.. I have my checklist and criteria when I go to buy trucks or anything else
I'am always shopping no matter what the economy is doing it's easier to make deals when sellers are in a bind.. and you are wrong about buying for less than what's financed also... because more than once I've bought trucks for less than what's owed.. you just have to know how deal with the bank.. in case you didn't know most leading institutions do not like to have to repo anything it's a PITA.. so most of the time they will work with a buyerCoffey, Roger McG, Big Road Skateboard and 1 other person Thank this. -

Personally I don't want to see things go south with the economy.. it hurts us all..
I wouldn't even want to speculate and the strength or weakness of our dollar..
I have my own conspiracy theory of what our government wants our dollar to do but .. that would atleast get my post deleted and jeopardize this thread so.. I keep my theory to myself ...lol
I hope you get rolling again soon .. and grab while the grabbing is still decent -
Problem is, that the used truck folks (dealers), bought in high, they can't come down much.
Which means, the likelihood of truck prices getting any better, is not so much.
My opinion is that what we see now, is what we'll see.
Get it?
Same goes for new.
They saw what they could get.
What's the chances of Freightliner coming off $250k?
Not much, in my opinion.
Just my observation and opinion.
What you see now is your reality going forward. -
