I find it ridiculous that sometimes the most pro-American people are immigrants. Americans that were born here just take this country for granted and have no idea what the world is like, they live in a bubble. They don’t even know when someone is exploiting or taking advantage of them. Even when someone that has come here is telling you what’s going on is wrong. -They still don’t wanna listen, it’s like smiling and taking a knife right in the back at the same time. It’s kind of elitist for them to think that nobody can do anything bad and exploit them because they’re so high and mighty.

There’s a particular individual in this thread that seems to fit that quite well.

these fools don’t realize how good they got it… Maybe if they were sent over to some of these Third World countries for them to experience maybe their attitudes would change… At least we would hope so

Ok....miss me with all that privilege bull ####. That's definitely elitist. Privilege? So we're better than someone from another country just because we're American? That's arrogant as ####...among things. I can't really get with this superiority complex I'm seeing in this thread man. I endorse opportunity for any man, regardless of where he's from. If he can make his life better, for his family, what's wrong with that? I'd rather yall just say, "I don't like looking at these folks."

I'm sitting at the truck stop now. I see mostly Americans still. Immigrants are starting companies. That's a good thing, and not all of them are rule breakers. In fact, American drivers are working for them. You can't paint all of them with 1 brush. Immigrant truckers have not stopped me from prospering in this industry. American truckers have broken just as many rules, if not more, than inmigrants, hence all the brand new regulations that keep coming. We didn't act right with paper logs, then the mandate came 7 years ago. We don't right with speed and accidents, it'll probably be a matter of time til speed limiters get signed into law. Let's not pretend that we have domestically protected the industry.

Why not be for all people? Does it matter where they come from? We are all out here trying to do provide and feed our kids.

Maybe if you were sent to those other countries, maybe you would sympathize and empathize more. You'd probably be doing the same thing they do. I know how good it is here, and I have no problem sharing the wealth.
