It’s actually a federal regulation that you’re required to speak conversational level English to be able to communicate with the public emergency personnel and to be able to read highway signage and there are too many foreign drivers who don’t even speak any lick of English that have to use a translator on their phones to communicate… I’m sorry, but those people need to have their license revoked Because they’re not complying with the law and the people that are giving them the license need to have punishment as well … and yes, the white Volvo crowd is a major culprit of a lot of this crap look at I 80 for example look at the nonsense across Wyoming with the white Volvos rest my case

That is the problem DMV creates. Why to blame immigrants for it?

American drivers were doing this same thing before the ELD Mandate.

You should go to Canada, same thing , I go to Toronto couple times a year and during last 4 years it became and absolute crap show. I just read somewhere recently that 65 percent of Canadians now want to limit immigration, while that amount was around 30% just few years ago

When you go to a foreign country, the thing you should do is be able to learn their language fluently enough to be able to communicate and 391.11 of the federal code clearly states that these people are supposed to be able to rewrite and speak fluently enough English to be able to communicate With personnel and read highway signage and do reports and many of them are not complying with that.

Also..immigrants driving down rates is also crazy. There are millions of DOT numbers and most aren't immigrants. There are too many trucks in the spot market because the government makes it too easy for anyone to start a company..and majority are American companies. Once again, it's misplaced anger.

I do agree that learning the language of the country that gives you shelter is very important one for personal growth, 2nd for proffessional growth.
But again, who gives them the license is the culprit not the immigrants themselves.

Well then go let some of the new breed take up residence in your house and go team with them then.

Oh you got that right. Back in 2011 i was hauling containers and met an old american trucker in WI. He told me he can't sleep more than 5 hours and he would always drive more than 11 hours if needed.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
