I had a fuel pump issue 2 months ago and turned out i need my fuel pump replaced. Got er done.
Now a new issue. Started yesterday on I81 in VA. Was runnin fine then all of the sudden a fuel pump light type thing came on.
This light is the "check" light with the fuel pump and what appears to be little blocks underneath the pump.
The light that came on when i had the pump issues was the "check" light with the fuel pump and what appear to be 3 fuel drops next to the pump.
It seems to run fine still, but the light never goes off. If i turn truck off it will go off, then come back on later on when i hit a hill........ It doesnt do it on every hill but i coulda swore I hit a hill and it started to stagger kinda......
I know its about time for a oil change/fuel filter change, im right at 3Okmiles. Im gettin oil changed now, I hope this solves the issue.....
Im going back to a freightliner next year!!!!
More fuel issues....

Im just thankful because it could be worse........ I think it was just my fuel filter because i got both of them changed along with my oil and drove from roanoke VA to chattanooga and it hasnt came back on. I was worried about it because i havent seen a fault code in about 3 months....... I know that seems weird but with this truck 3 months and no problems is good......!

Good deal. Your experiences are exactly why I haven't pulled the trigger on a 730!

Didnt you ask me about that when we met at truckstop in Kingsland,GA earlier this year????
Im sure not all trucks have same problems I do, I think I just got kind of a lemon... LOL -
Nah, it's Volvo, not just your truck. Cluck cluck just had six injectors put in his, and I think it's a 2011!

bleeding air from fuel system on 2000 D-12 465
Their real fussy about air in fuel system. On my truck on the filter housing on driver side there is a round black plastic about 2" high plunger. Its a Primer pump. There is a bleeded valve on the right ( back of truck) side of that same filter housing. you slowly pump the primer till you feel push back and open bleeder with out lifting primer. Close the bleeder and pumpit up again. Repeat till no air comes out. on top of head drivers side 6-8" from front there is another bleeder. Bleed that after you get the filter one done. I have a small clear hose and a lucas jug. Once its running you can do it till no air is in stream.
