I came in with 12 minutes total time left yesterday. Tonight I turned into the yard with a minute left. Ran 633 and 541.

Had it been a manual, the times would have been 14 minutes and 3 minutes, respectively. (Lost time at stops where it hesitates going into gear for a moment)

Had it not be a governed truck it would be more like additional time by half. And more horses mean less work and fuel burned to get there.

I remember my beloved dollar truck. I used to cut PA loose in 3 some hours instead of grinding across in 9 hours on bad days. I would imagine PA would have a problem with that back then.

I passed a lot of manuals. Think it balanced out.

Just saw a Bloomburg report. Shipping costs have risen 11.6%. Pay for truck drivers has risen 0.5% Having fun boys? This is why i start these threads.

Okay so you expect them to raise wages 11%? Then you won’t mind them cutting wages when the good times come to an end and rates tank? All good things come to an end sooner or later.

The industry has seen some decent pay hikes lately, about all you can expect given the abundance of “cheap labor” wanting to give driving a try. If you don’t feel like you’re getting your “fair share”, nobody’s forcing you to stay there or in this job.

Remember the gas tariff when diesel went crazy and they tacked it onto freight? It's still there. You getting any? Not everyone can change jobs at the drop of a hat.
