why don’t big trucks have reverse lights ?
It would help see what’re you’re fixing to smash into , and it would also let others know that you’re in reverse gear

I don’t think I have ever seen reverse lights on a trailer .
Unless it’s a owner operator flatbed maybe .
And those are always added on

I’ve never seen any that were factory installed on a trailer .

 

If you’re in violation of a law you’d still waste a day to go to court and lose?

Call the prosecutor or judge and ask for it to be reduced or dismissed Show up and IF the cop shows up , ask the judge for a reset . If the cop shows up at the new court date , ask for it to be transferred to state court .
the judge and prosecutor in state court are not employed by the money hungry podunk town , so they will be less motivated to grab your cash . Plus the state court may be an hours drive away for the cop and they usually won’t show up for it .

I’d be curious to see if any ticket has ever been issued for this .
I highly doubt it .

 

You said truck not trailer!! I know, I know. It’s all word games. To add them to the trailer you would have to add a wire to the pig tail. Not practical

 

Why would you need them on the trailer? the purpose for them is to see behind you when you back up, not to tell people you are backing up.

 

It would be helpful to illuminate the area behind the trailer. Think about covered docks or the backs where you're headed into shadow.
