Yeah, they take us TCD drivers out to the back 40 and turn the chickens loose. Its really funny when you see the nurse running after you to check ur vitals. lol

To my knowledge Seawheeler was the most impressive when it came to the agility test.

I know this is a bit of a necro, but I would like to thank everyone for their comments regarding the box climb, aka the "fat person elimination test". With the recruiter's description (four to five feet high, and there are tarps to stand on), I had pretty much given up on Maverick. Your descriptions have given me some hope that I might be able to pass it.
My problem is that I outweigh Captain by a good 100 pounds, am a couple inches shorter, and female on top of that. I have enough trouble climbing in and out of the tractor cab. My jumping range is about 6" on a good day, and there is absolutely no way I'll be able to pull myself up with my arms. If stacking the tarps gets the top of the box to around waist level, I can do it. If not, then no chance.
So, guys, I need your input. Can I get a 2' boost up on a 5' box? Basically, making it a 3' climb.
I'm obviously looking to go TCD and not flatbed. I can easily pass the DOT physical and lifting tests. However, I cannot afford to miss 4-5 days of work by taking a pair of 20+ hour bus rides just to fail the physical.
Thanks for your input. -
If you stood just one of the rolled up tarps on end, it would be a little more than 2ft tall. Most just stacked the two one on top of the other which cut the "climb" by almost 2 ft. Ask a flatbedder " a stupid question"- see if he could spare 3 minutes to let you take his tarp, put it on ground next to the center of his trailer. Attempt to get on top of the trailer (approx. 5ft high). That should give you a pretty good preview of the test.
