You can take the cig lighter part out and use it as a regular outlet. Mine had the same thing.

Captain, it looks like you live in your truck.... LOL
-
Lol, actually I do. Being single with no family, I visit my parents when I'm home and stay at their house, but otherwise I live in the truck.

Mine is pretty bare. Always clean and organized, even have new carpet (I just replaced my old carpet) that I lay out from the wall under the bunk all the way up to the dash. But all my laundry goes in a hamper in the closet every day, keep my clean clothes in large duffle bag that sits on bunk while I drive.

Thank you that is great getting some good ideas. I like the clothes hanging idea.

I bought 2 lg bathroom rugs to roll out on the floor during down time. 1 for in front of the bed and 1 for in between the seats. More "homey" during down time

Nice job Tim, way to use those cubes. ( cubic feet ) All the comforts of home.

Haha yeah, but I had to do some arranging when everything I had got too heavy
Just don't overload yourself with stuff and you'll be fine. I'm one of those guys that tends to take EVERYTHING with him because there's a 0.00001% chance I might need it. LOL -
I still need to figure something out for my microwave. I bout a couple sheets of MDF tonight but it was pouring rain before I could build my shelf. I don't want to cut wood inside the truck.
I don't know that I would trust that bar to hold a TV myself. I have mine mounted in the TV hole, Kind of.
Here's the mount I use for my TV. Made it myself.
The base is 15" x 18". The uprights are 4 12" long 2x4s. The 2 channels in the back are made of 1x2s. The channels ares held together and in place by 1" screws. The 2x4s are held together by 3" screws and then 3" screws come up through the bottom to attach the tower. The 2 channels in the back are for bungies to go across. I just used 2 of the 21" bungies provided by Maverick to strap it down. They are pulled so tight that it doesn't move. I did have to take the entire shelf out of the cabinet though to put it in.
The mount is rated for 45lbs. My TV only weighs 9lbs. Those eye hooks on the top are for attaching a fiber wrapped bungie to hold the TV back while traveling.
Besides the TV the articulating wall mount was the most expensive part. It cost me about $60 at the store. I wanted one rated for way more than it would ever hold because while the TV may only weigh 9lbs it still has to hold up to bouncing down the road all the time. The rest of the materials were pretty much free. My dad had the lumber just laying around his house from redoing the basement so I was able to take what I wanted.
I've been using this for over a year now and it shows no signs of failing any time soon.highspeed1972 Thanks this. -
That's the right way to do it too.
Yeah, until my steer tires weigh 12,300 lbs and I'm pulling an empty trailer lol. But I've managed to keep what I need and get rid of the actual junk.

The main reason it works so well is because even though it is wedged between the wall and cabinet, it's also sitting on top of the plastic lip that would normally hold the top bunk. So gravity can't affect it quite as much as it could otherwise.
I used to have mine in the TV hole, but now my microwave sits in there. That thing cost a lot, but it's wattage is low enough that it doesn't throw the breakers, and it's the perfect size. Bought it at the company store and love it.
Want a good test to see if everything will hold the way you want it to when driving? Circle the Gary terminal twice at 15mph. If nothing falls, you are definitely good to go. LOL.
