    I got a lot in the truck. Tim, I like ur ideas. Now I am going to have hit a walmart when I get home. I run my 5th wheel all the way forward and the heaviest Ive been it 11660. But I have a DD13 which is 800 # lighter than your trk.

    The 2013's with the DD13 are not 800 lbs. lighter than the 2010's with the DD15...the 2013 is only 60 lbs. lighter than the 2010.

    Or at least that's what my buddy found when he got his new truck.

    The weight difference between those engines is way overrated....they are basically identical except for the bore diameter and the stroke...that means the the 13 has thicker cylinder walls where the 15 has larger pistons...the main weight difference is in the deck height and the rod length...and its not 800 lbs.

    There is 65% parts interchangeability between the two engines.

    EDIT: I just looked the spec sheets up on Detroits website....there is only 223 lbs difference between them.

    DD15 = 2,763 lbs.
    DD13 = 2,540 lbs.
