See sig for the truck specs.
Got just over 14k on it, now my check engine light will come. I'll get a buzzer, and then the <!> thing. I pullover out of fear the engine will pick the worst time to shutdown and kill someone. I'm getting on the shoulder and it coughs, sputters, dead. I sit there 12 minutes trying to turn it over, no luck. I get it going, again the same light comes on and the buzzer. I'm at my cousins and a tech is out there trying to fix it, my computer went out.
So, he gets it fix. Okay, it starts. First gear it loses power. Now he thinks the transmission, looks at it can't find anything.
Just wondering whats causing this... I know he can fix it so I can limp to a dealer.

I know exactly what your problem is!! You have a Maxxforce engine. Good luck with that. Sorry to hear.

Never had any trouble with it, heard good things from drivers that own one. Guess my luck from L/P to O/O... I must be a carrier for bad luck.

It's fixed, I was a bit to rough on my throttle and the sensor went out.

A bad throttle sensor should never cause a hard start or sputter and die out. Any ideas what the codes were?

By his postings it only took a tech on Saturday night at his cousins house an hour to diagnose and fix it so could not have been too crucial:biggrin_2552:

He had his laptop out there, I don't know what he did I was inside. Guess he had a special cable and hooked it to the truck. It wasn't to bad, he just undid a few bolts and put the new sensor on. Another thing could have been a bad computer, that would cause it not to compute anything.

You have more things happen to you , your truck , cover more areas of the country in the shortest period of time than any poster I ever read about :)
