I ended up cutting off all the ######## “safety” stuff today so that I could actually properly grease the probably dozen u joints. I’m all for safety but if you can’t properly lube the machine… what the heck? The plastic covers completely cover up being able to get the grease gun where it needs to be.

Wish I had before photos to show but that entire assembly was completely covered with a gaudy ### huge plastic covering making it impossible to access. Same with every other u joint.

Yeah we live in a world of nannyism and there is some plastic junk that has been removed from mine too.

Well @bzinger — figured they were getting to hard on the mulcher so I had to break down and do a harvest/cleanup- irrigation shutdown and blow out happens in the morning so it ain’t long before Ol Greenie gets a rest

Yeah can see where that would be a challenge for the mulch deck feature lol.
Still more work for mine after freeze up and the leaves drop and mow down the annual flowers , then mine will be put away for the winter too unless some historic storm like the omaha blizzard of 1975 comes blade and chains will be handy but not mounted until then .
Dropped off my ariens 2 stage walk behind snowblower at the dealer a couple weeks ago and told him to go thru it stem to stern.
We get blasted from time to time but I'd really rather not get the 330 in it if I don't have to .
Ps ..the whole Missouri and Mississippi River valleys desperately need rain so I hope we do get blasted .
Barge traffic has been halted on the Mississippi River....I crossed the platte river at Columbus Nebraska a few weeks ago and it's bone dry.
It better snow this winter !
