I'm still here and well.
Not much new lately same old thing ...headed home for Xmas now , deliver Fairbury nebr tmw morning and then done until I get bored enough to go back to work after Xmas.

Yesterday the at -15 with Antarctic windchill the starter on my work pick up failed .
Mobil repair service charged me 150.00 to come to my house to install a new one plus 94.00 for a reman starter .
Value of not laying on a frozen concrete floor for 2 hours doing it myself ?
PRICELESS !

 

It was good ? I spent a few days at home and then went up to Minnesota to see my family , getting ready to head back now and probably go back to work new years day .
Yeah I took the new deere for a ride but we only got 4 inches of snow out of that storm so it was quik .
What did you do ?

 

The trip up sucked with blizzard Conditions but the trip home was much better .

 

Happy new year everyone ....the clock is winding down to spring when I will probably pull the pin at Morehouse if contract freight stays decent .
My decision was pushed further along today when I ended my relationship with the company shop due to poor attitudes and laziness that costed me a breakdown last week , this started last summer and keeps getting worse to the point where the shop manager is dragging the shop down , our old shop manager that retired a couple years ago wasn't easy to get along with but you could at least get a straight answer out of him and he kept his word .
His replacement came from a dealership and now that he has been here a couple years
He has the same don't give a dam tude you can get at any dealership and seems to think parked trucks still generate revenue with total arrogance about wasting your time .
Today I got tired of his bs and politely told him to kiss my business goodbye.
Sad to say but with the state of affairs in our shop that was a big perk gone and the same bad attitudes out of a couple dispatchers I think my career at Morehouse has run its course and I'll be moving on in May.
