I've been lucky this winter , only shut down for bad roads twice and it wasn't for very long .

We’ve had a pretty brutal one — everyone is done with it— except the snowmobilers and skiers and they’re on welfare anyway so they don’t matter

The Sierras in northern California have received over 55 feet of snow so far this winter season

Lol! It’s been mild in KC temp wise and precipitation wise. A few cold snaps but nothing major. Especially when watching the news and it’s -110 in Minnesota with 80 mph winds and they’re callin for 37 feet of snow. Suddenly flurries and 35 degrees doesn’t sound too bad!

I just looked at deeres 2023 line up and other than the addition of the x107 modal which is kind of a step between the 240 and the s100 home depot modal nothing has changed.
The x300 series thru the x700s are still the cadillacs with far fewer options than ours available on the 240s and 100s , only thing I did notice was the addition of a kawasaki 22hp on the 240s but still the less rigid frames , cheap stamped decks, lower torque trannys , no gauge cluster and fuel fill under the seat .
If you get a letter from deere telling you your warranty is about to expire like I did call your dealer and they will straighten it out ...it was a computer thing .

This is why I pay attention to the weather in front of me and always have .
Tipton iowa : they have been predicting this for days and today I booked up here asap from Ohio to get parked b4 poo poo hit the fan .
Within a half hour of getting parked and cracking a beer the above is coming at me , luckily it got about a 1/4 mile out and took a hard right just missing me .
I cut this a little close but the rockheads that pay no attention to the weather drove right into it .

I'm headed home now and taking a few days off .
And it's time for the 3rd oil change at 22 hours ...in my eyes 2 qaurts of mobil 1 and a filter is dirt cheap peace of mind and a grease job every other mowing .
Definitely overkill but it will last me forever.
I also hired a lawn service to take care of fertilizer, insect control and weed control, I don't like doing that and for what they charge I can't do it cheaper myself.
