    Wouldn’t that be funny if one of the owners is driving about it happens to have that truck passed them going faster than what the governed speed of the truck is supposed to be

    My truck is turned up over the company policy as are most of the oo trucks and thats why I only use it to pass someone quik and I don't haul ### in or near omaha .

    Isn't the starter on a frame rail, back of the engine compartment?

    Its mounted to the lower rear engine block near the bell housing .

    Not to say you’re wrong, but the only thing I’ve ever had that problem with was an old GMC pickup that I ran headers on.

    I haven’t seen it in anything else since.

    It’s not a common thing any more. But the way they are really starting to pack things in these trucks these days. Not sure what truck or engine he has. But with a Detroit the starter is on the passenger side with the turbo and exhaust very close. Not to mention the one box is also close. Lot of heat over there now.

    39700 on the oil now and still clean , its getting brown but still clear
    .
    Hell I might run it to 70k instead of 60k ..
    .Zero consumption and no drop in oil pressure.

    Certainly tells a story on how much soot goes into the oil of a modern emissions engine and how good the filtration system is .
