If you are in Sioux city they might be able to hire you. How close it is to Omaha, since I started I have not gone up that way once. I almost always go east. But if you are still interested I would apply again.

That's cool. Good luck to you whatever you decide to do. So many companies out there.pattyj Thanks this.

Go to Omaha and see them in person. I think you'd do good there!
-
Looking into MH. How has it been for you truckerdo ? They sent me an email and also called.
Thank for any info y'all can express. -
So far so good. I have only been there 3-4 months but they have held up their end of the deal so far. What you see is what you get with them. They are honest and don't lie to get you in the door, which is the way it should be. Overall I am happy. I get home every week plus an extra day throughout the week once in a while. Get decent miles. Trying to think of any negatives and really can't come up with any. Any other questions just ask.JohnGER Thanks this.

I talk with sue today. She said home every 2 weeks! You must live close to them? Telling me 3k to 3500 ave a week? How close are you to that?
-
Yep I live in Omaha. Not exactly sure what my average is, 2500-3000. Since you would be out longer then you may get that many miles.? Not sure what others are getting.

I think it should be articulated that Morehouse has excellent maintained equipment, and how much they pay for it doesn't matter, however don't expect any perks in the truck, it's not (frightliner is all I had) equipped with any extras for the driver. I think the original poster did not communicate that well. I.e. No extra cabinets/ small storage, bolted passenger seat, minimum comfort drivers seat, cheap mattress, the minimal interior lighting package, etc.
Also the health insurance (during my employment) is not for anyone who actually needs it, it's also not very competitive prices for the industry. If you have need of quality insurance, or insurance period, go with another carrier that is more benefit focused, who's prices are a bit lower and pay package is similar you won't notice the difference.
I made great money while at Morehouse (other than insurance costs and copays resulting in my need to leave for better insurance at a more affordable rate) and have no complaints of the fright, the planners, or safety dept. The shop is excellent in keeping equipment well maintained, see above for equipment issues.
I would also add Morehouse is a great company if you live in the right area, as with any company, but if you got health insurance covered and live near Omaha or I80 where they can get you home every week so you don't have to live out of the truck much, I would say this is perfect for you. If your going to be out more, or want insurance at all, keep looking, they are friendly but may not be for you.JohnGER Thanks this. -
Almost went there when I left my last company close to 3 years ago.
The person/recruiter (don't remember her name) I spoke with seemed nice and honest.
Some things that were said she wouldn't have said if she was just trying to get drivers in the door.
