I have been spending quite a bit of my free time lurking around the truckstops and highways I-76, I-71, and state routes in my area of NE Ohio, just to get an idea of what company trucks I am seeing most often, and the sighting winners - by far - are:

Schneider, Swift, TMC, USA Truck, PAM, PRIME, USXpress and Werner. Uh..oooooooooh..

Since I am particularly interested in flatbed, TMC has been the sighting "winner." Seen a lot of TMC. Most of the rest of the fb's seem to be O/O or companies I have never heard of. NO Swift flatbeds sightings...####! Must not run in Ohio? No other national flatbed companies seen. :smt017

After a couple of months of looking around and watching, I saw my first Maverick transportation truck a couple of days ago. To you flatbed companies I serenade: :smt035

Where, Oh where are you tonight?
Why don't you drive through my beloved O-hi-oooo?
I search the highways over and thought I saw my one true love,
5 seconds later, you split and were goooone. :smt089

TMC is an image company. They don't hire people that don't fit a certain type.

    Keep that in mind.

Give me a break, Mike. Unless you have actually driven for them, what makes you believe you have any idea what type of company TMC (or any other company for that matter) is, and who they would hire?

    So Buckeye,

Why are you still just a WannaBe, instead of diving right in?

And many many many more run flatbed into Slowhio. You may not be looking hard enough. Hell, you probably saw me in Lodi Friday evening.

Go up to Bedford Heights, OH and sit outside of Majestic Steel USA. Write down the name of the companies you see moving in & out of there. Or go to Timken Steel over in Canton/Akron area (they have multiple plants).
