Most high valued load you’ve ever hauled?

Up until 2 years ago I never really hauled general freight, so not much sticks out, but We Used to haul burn ash out of trash plants, one of them was right by the paper company for the treasury, every once in a while if they were sloppy on the burn you would get bundles of unprinted bills in the trailer,

 

I've never hauled any multi-million dollar loads like some of you guys but I remember one load that really impressed me.
Two redwood beams, forty feet long 12x12 true dimension. They were cut from an old growth tree and absolutely free of knots or any defect. This might not mean much to our eastern brothers but the guys on the Left Coast will understand. The tree had been twisted when it was young and the beams had a spiral grain pattern. They weren't able to pass grade as structural timbers, they were just for show.
I hauled them from Eureka to Lake Tahoe. Some dot.com millionaire was having his lodge remodeled.
I only saw them for a minute before they were padded, paper wrapped, and then plastic wrapped but they were beautiful. We were still tying down with cables in those days and the edges got plenty of protection
The total value of the beams, in 1970, was fifty thousand dollars. That's not much compared to some of the things mentioned in this thread but it was enough to impress me.
I can't imagine what lumber like that would cost today or if you could even find clear redwood. There's still a lot of old growth around here but it's usually in parks and they'll let it rot and fall over rather than allow it to be cut for lumber.

 

But those things are unique and priceless imo. Can’t be made

sent 3 flatbeds full of super-sacks full of vanadium catylist back to the Hot Springs area from NJ paid the lease operator 5500...

 

Not sure what the value was, but I hauled 44k of scratch off lottery tickets one time.

Nowadays I'll haul ~$750k worth of Lincolns pretty regularly.

 

No matter what you hauled, or for whom, you were the most valuable part of the load, and don't forget it. To all of my fellow drivers have a safe, and enjoyable 4th of July, God Bless America and all those that have worked to give us our freedom.

 

I have always had the view point that the only load that matters is the one that is in my trailer not. And I strive to deliever each load unharmed, safely, on time if possible.

 

Last November I hauled a full load of completed mail in election ballots from California to Arizona. I have no idea how much a load that can flip an election is worth.

 

No idea of the value but I've hauled many loads of prime beef out of omaha to NYC and imported liquor and wine back from New Jersey.
