I hope that $200 includes the background check but that's still high . When I renew my hazmat I pay $155 for the background check and my employer reimburses it . Hazmat test is $5 at the DMV when I renew my license .

The trucking business is directly proportionant to the economy. In other words when the economy is down so is trucking. The economy is a laging indicator of the market(stocks) meaning the economy will improve AFTER the market does. When the market starts back up and keeps it's gains for at least 90 days then the economy will start to rise. This isn't expected to happen untill later this year. So we have to wait a little longer. If you watch stock ticker .DJT you can whatch this take place. Right now it's at appox. 2500 and when it rises to appox. 3500 jobs will start to increase.

That sucks! I hate to see anyone that has worked hard and done the right thing like yourself get screwed.

As far as this goes.....That is my whole point, if are economy is built on credit and not capitol it needs to fail. I'm not talking about peoples house loans just everything else mentioned there. If someone can't afford to pay cash for a new t.v. then they can't afford a new t.v. The credit card is not the answer. If most of these people were'nt so upside down with nonsense financed they might have been able to pay their mortgages and put the banks in a better position to be able to work with responsible people like yourself.

If the school folds.... The State of Ohio folds. OR I get NO refresher training, and the company that decides to hire me pay's?... Either way... I really don't care.

I was assuming the Hazmat charge was around 200.00, when ,and IF I, decide to Re-up.. Hopefully, when ,and IF that decision is made, I'll not pay that much??

Good luck!!! Be aware of your surroundings all the time...Don't take any wooden nickles...And remember!!! We are in tough economic times...So if your not making $30.000 your first year!!! Give it time...I HAVE NEVER TRAINED nor have I ever attended a truck driver school...What I can tell you is, this job is a life style...You will either love it as I do ...Or you will hate it...

I've noticed half of the drivers out there interupt their running lights when it is safe for a passing truck to come back over. What do you guys think? My trainer advised against it. He said it is kind of like telling another driver how to drive.

It's called being helpful and curtious. Trafic can be tight sometimes and it helps to know when you can get over.
