What is the most miles you have driven in one day ?
And also how do you figure how many miles you can drive in one hour , is there a standard everyone uses like :
50 mph = 1hr so 300 mile would take 6hrs
Just looking for average or how you all figure trips.
Thanks

I plan a 50 mph average..
I won't even begin to talk about how many miles I would run utilizing loose leaf logs..(many years ago)
EOBR, Ive ran 680 miles legally..light traffic, left door shut, and Qualcomm showing 1 minute til violation.blairandgretchen, frank_the_tank, Skydivedavec and 2 others Thank this. -
Pending if I had a company truck that was castrated or a Open truck. Company truck 50 to 60 pending where i was running and how bad the truck was governed. Open range truck 60 to 65 pending on location running..
Most miles ran 700 legally 1000+ by fudging. One company it was ops normal. Leave out 5PM deliver 880 miles away by 8AM reload and deliver 880 miles away by 8am the next day -
696 ebor Boston to Tampa fl paper logs 24 hrs .... never late

My truck is governed at 67 mph and I can legally do between 650 and 680 per day, but factors such as traffic, non-interstate driving, number of times you have to stop, etc can have a big effect on miles. That being said, my single day record (back when I was on paper logs) is 830 miles. Houston, TX to Chattanooga, TN. Not even close to being legal on that one.

In a 65 mph trk at a relaxing yet consistant pace, you can average 600 miles a day every day even with traffic and that half hr brk.But that does not include stopping too much..If you wanna get on your company and dispatchers good side and some great miles, then run and not take excessive amt of brks .Most companies nowadays have elogs, they can see how hard you're running and how many brks you're taking during your shift.Alot of times you can unload early and be ready for a reload. Many cust are FCFS(first come first serve).I can't even begin to tell you how often I got unloaded a day early.Made my dispatchers very happy.Sure you can get more miles in a 65 mph trk but why push it.Just make it a nice consistant pace and you'll accumulate miles fast without getting burned out. What companies prefer is 500 to 600 miles a day which isn't asking for too much.

Why push it to the limit?

he (or she) means keeping the wheels rolling, limiting stops.
