Lmfao that was pretty good...I may steal that from you...oh shoot I need a grammar natzi to make sure I used the correct steel in that sentense lol.KW Cajun Thanks this.
-
Shoot my bull rack would've been on the sidewalk for gods sake. Lol in all seriousness though I have a lot of respect for you guys that pull oversize it takes a lot of skill to deal with them type of loads and its something I personally can't do. Don't have the experience, nor do I want to learn. 102" wide is enough lol.

I have been told, years ago that when loaded they really don't want to talk to any body hauling livestock. If they put you OOS they are some what responsible for those animals. If there is truth in that I'm not sure. All I can say is that a rookie Arkansas DOT had me dead to rights with 58 fool critters on the wagon. His Sargent pulled up said I'm not telling you what to do I'm behind you what ever you decide but the minute you place him OOS those animals are our responsibility whats your plans for them? He told me to boogey and I did. After that I took it as a near miss and keep my log current I don't want to count on things such as that. Headed back to Co with number 2
-
10-4 don't blame you for keeping it current now at all. That would make some sense though with them being partially responsible. I know a driver who was put OOS in KS under load. Then again he was less than 3 miles from the sale barn as well so they turned him around and unloaded him there. Good to hear you've got number 2 loaded and you're rolling. Be careful there's some weather out that way. Here Colorado is getting hit with snow and ice. Same way with south Dakota haven't heard about NW KS or western NE yet though. Be safe out there. I'm still chasing my tails on my oil issue. Lost haneys contact info I could definitely use his expertise right now. Lol

depend on State you in and how fast can your truck run. Calif, for expel. speed limit is 55. In 10 hrs you can log 550 miles or lillte higher. If you log over 600 miles DOT may give you a speeding ticket when they look at your log book.
-
How in the world can you drive 55 and average 55. Can't be done. Not mention log 60 with a 55 limit. You do either and get a log audit and your getting a ticket. I don,t care what state you are in you can't legally log the speed limit.
-
You can log the speed limit or just above it in the slow poke states of IL and CA. As it's common knowledge the unspoken speed limit in CA is 60 mph and 62 in IL. I never got pulled over doing that in the respective states. In the faster western states usually 5 miles under the limit is how you want to log.

Back when my wife (future ex) and I were still a fighting couple, we had an on and off tooth and nail fight via cell phone. My adrenalin was so pumped up and I was so furious with her that I drove straight from the Joplin, MO Petro to the company yard in El Paso (936 miles) hell bent on getting in her face. Of course by the time I got into El Paso, unloaded my gear and got to my house I was way too exhausted to argue with her anymore.
DoneYourWay, Captain Call and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
I once fueled up in Tooele, UT. and drove straight to Waterloo, IA.---that is about 1,200 miles. I think that was the longest one for me. Legal? NO Doable? YES Recommended? NO
