Most miles driven in One day ?

1440 miles, Tulsa to the port of long beach. 22 1/2 hours in an ungoverned truck. Back in the fun days of trucking (10+ years ago), you could do 110-115 across NM and AZ, and 90-100 in CA.

Back when Oklahoma Southern Transportation was in business, they'd put out a list every month of miles that the drivers got. It wasn't uncommon for me as a solo to get 19-22000 miles/month. It's all about keeping that left door shut.

 

When did you sleep?

 

Safe haven???!? huh.. never heard of such thing....???

 

Had a guy sayin something about a line 5 on his log "e log". for safe haven. idk what that is. but ###### i want to know. i want a 5th line for driving on my paper log. then... i could log 850 miles every day!!!!!!! i would say i drove here and didnt feel safe. so i left an drove to a truck stop with out any swift. trucks to remove my bumper in my sleep.

 

Ok.. so.... it was really a cr. england that took ny bumper off. i just dont miss a chance to say something about swift

 

800 legally 65 mph truck. Can any smart people figure out how I did that? In fact once I did around 800 every day for a week and had a record mileage of over 4000.

 

Start at midnight, Drive 11, sleep 10, drive 3. 24 hour period. Minus fuel/inspections etc. that's how. I did 724 in a 24 hour period in a 62 mpg truck once!

 

62 mpg!? Amazing

 

I have line 5 as well. Off duty driving. As far as I know, it isn't legal to work on line 5. You can't just drop down to line 5 and keep going. Line 5 is for personal conveyance, bob tailing to walmart and the like. Or so our safety department says.

i only use line 5 to go do some shopping occasionally.

anyhow... I've also done 724 in that same 62 mpg, 62 mph truck!
