I've also heard that your first year isn't about making money but more along the lines of learning and safety, but I go to a school and it's 18 weeks and 602 hours. And I'm paying almost $10,250 too go. Honestly anything under $50,000 will be a disappointment . Not trying too be greedy. Just want too work hard and make as much money as possible

I understand that, and I didn't mean too sound like a greedy newbie. I just want too work as hard as possible and make money. nothing in life is easy. Got too work hard. Their isn't no other way.

Some rookie drivers complain about low pay and it happens because they jumped on the first job offer without researching several companies.
You could have made about $55K with Earl Henderson Trucking and this company would have paid for your school.
I see you must want flatbed, by your screen name and some flatbed drivers make over $50K such as System Transport and Maverick glass division.
I've been to Lackawanna a few times when pulling hazmat/tankers; don't remember the customer name though.
Many companies to choose from & you should already be submitting applications.Last edited: Sep 2, 2015

some new drivers make poor choices true
I believe even a bigger factor is poor management of hours
your 70 hour clock is more important to be used judiciously then anything else you can do
if you dont use your hours to the most advantage you will be sitting in a TS complainingborn&raisedintheusa Thanks this.
