Maine only requires 5 I’m pretty sure,

    NH is 99k on 6

VT is 99k on 6 but you can get a 90k permit for 5

MA is 99k on 5, 6% allowance for “no scal ticket” to 104k, a regular 10 wheel dump truck is good to 73k alone

    RI is 104,800, no allowance

    ny is 102k on 5, 107k on 6, and 117k on 7, 3% allowance

CT is the only one up here that you are supposed to be 80 for,

In OK, you can run up to 90k as long as you don't exceed the tire/axle ratings, and stay off of the interstate. No permits required.

    Rideandrepair and flood Thank this.

That's not a complete list. In MN, for example, it's 600 lbs times the width in inches of your tires. For most steer tires that's 10 in x 600 lbs x 2 tires = 12,000 lbs. Several other states limit you to 650 lbs. Check your Motor Carrier Road Atlas.

My truck is lisenced for 106,000 and permited for 129,000 and 115 feet bumper to bumper in Idaho. That's a 7 axle setup...

Point is, what you said is wrong in a lot of states.
Sorry you can't admit that and are now trying to change what you said because of that.

A lot of Western states have rigs with a lift axle or two on the tractor, and 3 or more lift axles on the trailer. I have seen setups with 4 axles on the tractor, and 4 axles on the trailers... pulling doubles. They run all over the Western States with that.
