    Does using MotorKote increase fuel mileage? That is another one like the Turbo 3330 that is advertised alot on the trucking radio shows. I bought a gallon and put it in my oil and think my fuel mileage may of increased a bit but it is hard to tell because of the different load weights and different routes and terrains I drive in. I did notice the engine was running a little cooler though and it was a few oill changes ago so I just wanted to get opinions from everybody before I do it again.

  3. That's one thing I do use. I've ran it in my engine, tranny, rears, and front hubs since 2004. My engine has 1.7 million on it now with no overhaul. The only thing I've ever done to it is replace injectors and a few O-rings that have rotted off of it from age. My oil analysis still looks good, and I expect the little Cat to hit at least 2 million before it quits me My super idiotic, complete waste of parts (not so) Super 10 transmission still works just fine. I've never had any issues with my rears.

    Fuel mileage wise? Hard to say. It definitely makes my engine quieter and run lots more smoothly, but Ive always got around 7mpgs with that truck. I think the bigger advantage is the cold starts. I can tell a HUGE difference starting my truck when it's cold and I have Motorkote in the engine. In the winter, I cut the dose in half and pour it in at every oil change. My little engine only takes 1/2 gallon every third oil change in hd summer and 1/4 gallon every oil change in the winter.

    I feel the MotorKote is a contributor to my engine going so many miles, but I keep the oil changed, fix things as soon as I catch them so that little problems don't turn into big ones.

    I like the stuff and I'll keep using it, but lots of guys just do regular maintenance and wouldn't use any additives if it were given to them, and some of those guys will run over a million, too.

    i have 3 trucks running. i decided to use motorkote. what i just found is that if you have lucas motorsealer in your truck already or you put in that stuff, it will turn you oil into tar and destroy your motor. i just spend another 9800.00$ to replace cam and rockers. 1 1/2 year ago i had the same motor rebuilt after i did mixed motorkote and lucas motorsealer in my pete and my freightliner. both had to be rebuilt, 33000.00 worth of repairs. the mixture turn into tar and eliminate all benefit of the oil and motorkote. crank shaft and all . it was horrible. now my pete had to be rebuilt again just last week. we realize what was happening. these 2 products dont mixe. it turn into ####, really bad ####. be carefull..

    Lucas is garbage to begin with if you knew what it actually was you'd have never put it in your engine. Heavy cheap base oil without wear additives ... Or detergents.

    Starving oil flow to make a pretty number on the pressure gauge has destroyed allot of motors over the years with Lucas snake oil.

    Regarding Motorkote and all magic bottle additives;

    ** Buy the best performing and protecting engine oils ....skip the magic bottle stuff.

    Using T6 Rotella , Mobil Delvac1 synthetic or Chevron Full synthetic are much better choices.

    Remember, engine oil is chemistry ... All the chemicals in it are designed to act in certain ways with each other in various quantities.
    Adding magic bottle additives throws untested chemical variables into that balance of chemistry, rolling the dice on a very expensive motor.

    But it’s $30 a gallon!!! It’s got to help in some way, right?

    No way that can charge that much for just some base stock?
