mountains and bad conditions on the roads

I-5...with an occasional jump out to SLC!

They know I get nose bleeds east of Park City!

Once in a while I ask for a load to TN or Carolina"s......dispatcher asks me "who's going to do your laundry?"


Back up to Portland, OR I go!!!

 

You can have all the mountains you can handle,ill be a wouss and stick to my local job here in Iowa,lol.

 

We don't have mountains we have hills. But there are some pretty #### nasty ones in the winter if you run up there through broken bow, valentine, out there by chadron, yea them to lanes are a ##### at times. Although when they shut down the big road that's all you got. Half the time the 2 lanes are better than the #### interstate to be completely honest. And god forbid you get up into south Dakota. Guess they don't have anybody capable of running a plow truck in that state.

 

Only thing that makes me nervous about the snow is the shoulder and sometimes you can't see your lane because blowing snow covered the plowed road.

 

They can't plow the snow in the Dakota's.....nobody told them how to put the seeds in the furrows!!!

 

Quit buying over-sized tops.....then the shoulders will stay covered!

Tony Has it right on here!, I couldn't tell you how many times, up in Mt, WY, CO Ut, ID, Wa and OR, that I have either sent s message over the QC or on the phone, This load of "Gummy Bears" is going to be late, They may pitch a fit but they have nothing to say, if they do I'll tell them they can come out and drive it for me or they can wait till I feel comfortable with the conditions on the roads.
