I'm still looking at different ways to set this up but what if I ran the exhaust just to the end of the frame on the tractor?
Is that far enough away to not cause anyone a problem?
Mounting generator/ exhausting the fumes?

Any gasoline engine exhaust that's at ground level can be a problem especially if the air is still. I was three trucks away from a guy running one under his hood and it caused a high enough reading on my detector to almost set it off.
I'd do what it takes to get it up in the air.Dino soar Thanks this. -
May simply consider a 12v radiator fan angled to hit the generator and exhaust to disperse. Will depend on mount and generator exhaust location as well as how much the fan pulls, but worth a thought.
Bonus points, itll keep generator a little cooler especially if semi-enclosedGod prefers Diesels and lilillill Thank this. -
If you drive for Landstar and this is your truck, don't do this.

use the venturi effect by running the generator exhaust up from the elbow at least 8 inches inside the pipe. That will cause a slight negative pressure in the generator exhaust system when the truck engine is running.
This can also be used with a pipe into the bottom of a vertical muffler.God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
Any 6 amp or better charger will keep your batteries topped up while sitting unless you are using a large "hotel" load. Even interior lights on for 6 hours and your batteries will be topped up by a 6 amp charger after 4 hours if the charger is on all the time. If you have LED lights inside then cut those charging times in half.God prefers Diesels and shooter19802003 Thank this.

Ah, maybe wasnt quite specific enough, got a 12v ac system, at 90 degrees and okay but not great batteries, the batteries get sucked dry in a matter of a few hrsGod prefers Diesels Thanks this.

In that case a minimum 10 amp charger should bump your battery life to 12 hours or more. A second would give you 34 hours for a reset.
