Look at Post #17 again. There are schematic drawings after each description, the only one that doesn't have one is the "stinger", as there is a pic in the first post of this thread...

Question from a general freight hauler, aka me. What is this thread about? What the hell is a stinger, booster, flux capacitor, bumble bee and a phallus? Honestly, can someone tell me Barney style please.

A stinger/booster I'd an extension that spread the axles out. They're removable on an east coast (west coast to but that's a different story) so guys are wondering if you can store in on your gooseneck without getting in trouble for a "divisible" load. In the beginning of this thread there's a picture of on mounted on top of a gooseneck.

Ok. So it's a removable set of axles? In the original post the axle that attaches to the stinger... Is on the back of the trailer?

Is there a YouTube video showing set up/breakdown? That may help me understand better, if I can see where stuff is coming from and where it's going.

BlackShack, yes they are removable axle's, sometimes guys "pin" 2 even 3 axles on back.
Next time your around a multi axle lowboy look close at how their mounted and you'll understand the term Pinned.
It varies from state to state how much weight you can carry on a Quad axle, aka tight 4,
example: Oklahoma 65,000lbs Georgia 92,000lbs every states different, it's crazy, but helps on lighter loads to be able to shorten overall length so you don't need escorts, usually around 90ft mark and/or in states that allow 80k on a quad axle
On heavier loads I'll put the stinger down, spread out the last axle and then good for 60k on 3axle and 20k on last axle now I'm at 80k on trailer which is good in most states but have to watch escort laws because I'm
    94ft 6in long.
There's more but that's the short version.

    Thanks @johndeere4020 for helping explain.
If anyone's following this, no problems so far.
a couple states, IL, KY, LA, AR, Stopped me on scale for a couple second's, pretty sure to see how it was attached, then green lighted me.

@Blackshack46 , YouTube video not a bad idea. Their pretty self explanatory to put on and off but I've found a couple short cuts on my own that make it a lot quicker and easier since first time hookin it up.

The Stinger itself doesn't really have axles, it's used to spread out your axles to scale more weight. That's why people are concerned if you don't need it they want to pull it and store it on the gooseneck, but they're worried about creating a divisible load situation.
