Amen to that. I had my eye on a 2000 Western Star. Then I spent a few hours going over it and decided it wasn't for me. There were mouse and/or rat droppings covering the top of that CAT 3406E and in the cubby holes inside the sleeper. It didn't matter to me that the mechanic promised to get the drive train in proper order to my specs, the electrical issues would be a never ending nightmare, even assuming I could eliminate the little beasts.

    Nesting behavior.

I grew up in the country. We had to deal with mouse infestations often in the shed, barn, and chicken coop. Mice like to shred paper, wood, or plastic to build a nest.

I remember working with my brother to pull plywood away from a wall in the shed. We did that because we knew there was a mouse problem. The last 4'x8' revealed the BIG nest. They must have taken an entire Sunday newspaper in there and attempted to shred the fake news.

There were several adults and dozens of kidlets. Our cats went manic on them. It was a sight to behold.

If you're too much of a sally to handle a dead mouse in a trap, there is an alternative... Kinda

Get some tea tree oil. Put it down everywhere you've found mouse evidence. They don't like it. It may encourage it to move out.

After you get rid of it, you still have it's house somewhere. They like heater boxes. You gitta find it though. A mouse nest left unattended can have health implications

Best of luck with your furry friend

mice and any other rodent, thier teeth continually grow, so they chew on things, nearly anything, as they forage for food..

what you really need to worry about is the hantavirus ( CDC - Hantavirus )

this can be deadly to YOU...you really need to basically tear your truck apart now and do a full cleaning and disinfecting....

this viru IS NOT to be ignored from rodents.

in the future, try and store ALL your food products in SEALED plastic containers, and be neat with your food, and clean up all crumbs ASAP.....

if you leave a food source, they will honker down, and YOU WILL BECOME violently ill.......

READ THE LINK, regarding that deadly viru...!!!!!!!!!
