Move to Texas, transfer license from KY to TX

Good question. I’d like to know too.

 

Texas is strict, in a way. need utility bills, rent/lease agreement, and sometimes must show a Texas vehicle registration. Google has the answer to that. Many drivers on here have gone through the process when they moved to Texas.

 

Its essentially the same as applying for one as if you lived in the state.

What about NV? The same? Rent/lease agreement, car registration, insurance, etc?

 

Nothing I can find that you would even need to own a car.
Additional Proof of Identity & Nevada Residential Address

Nevada has three sets of requirements for proof of identity. Most motorists will apply for a Real ID driver's license or a standard Nevada license.

Those who cannot meet the requirements for a Real ID or standard license may apply for a Driver Authorization Card (DAC), which is not valid for identification.


You must bring all of the following:

• Proof of Identity AND
• If you have changed your name, Proof of All Name Change(s) AND
• Proof of Social Security number AND
• Proof of your Nevada residential address (two documents) AND
• Application for Driving Privileges or ID Card (DMV 002):

Veterans with an honorable discharge may present their evidence of honorable discharge to have a Veteran designation placed on their license. Visit archives.gov to obtain a copy of a DD-214 or other evidence of honorable discharge. Anyone may elect to become an Organ Donor.

 

If you just rent a room from someone, then there's an affidavit you and the person renting the room to you, must sign.

 

In Nevada you will need a few things.
A certified copy of your birth certificate.
Must be embossed and wet stamped.
Any documents, like a utility bill with your current address.
Your current valid driver license and med card and long form.
A completed license application.
You may need to take the written for endorsements. It will depend on when your last license was issued.
Payment. Cash, check or cards. Fees vary based on what your getting.
Last time the License is mailed to you. Takes about 7 to 10 days. Used to walk in and walk out with it.
