I wouldn't live anywhere near the strip due to vagrants and homeless people.
PropertyVegas.com can help you find a safe, clean neighborhood.
Another poster mentioned Zillow.com, which is where I found my house, then PropertyVegas.com helped me buy it.
Wife and I went to Inspirada a few days ago and looked around and that's a really nice area. She's trying to strongarm me into selling our house and buying there.
We now live in Seven Hills, Henderson,NV which is also a fantastic community. We chose Seven Hills because it's safe and immaculately clean and excellent schools.

Holy Moses! Henderson looks like that now??
When I was stationed at Nellis back in 79-80, Henderson was called Hooterville. Nothing but empty desert from Sams Club casino to there.Upinsmoke, D.Tibbitt, Flat Earth Trucker and 2 others Thank this. -
I tried to talk the wife into moving/retirement in Vegas but she says it's too hot.
She comes from northern Mn and thinks 75 is plenty hot.Upinsmoke, D.Tibbitt and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Yes, it's hot, but the humidity is so low, the heat is not uncomfortable.Upinsmoke, FredZeppelin77, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this.

Yeah, Henderson is beautiful. Wasn't familiar with Henderson at all until we decided to move to Las Vegas. Discovered Henderson & Las Vegas border each other and can't really notice if you're in Henderson or Las Vegas other than Henderson is so clean and very rare to see a piece of litter.
Upinsmoke, D.Tibbitt and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
I stopped at the Love's in Buckeye recently and decided to grab a burger from Whopperville. When I tasted the Sprite from the soda fountain, I noticed the flavor was way off. Usually, when fountain flavor is off, the syrup to soda ratio needs adjustment.
So, I mentioned this to the manager, and she said that the poor water quality was likely to blame. Remembering my shower earlier at Love's, I knew she was right.
Does municipal water come from wells in that neighborhood? I lived in Tucson for over 20 years, and there was plenty of hard water, but what I encountered in Buckeye was much worse.Upinsmoke, FredZeppelin77 and Bakerman Thank this. -
Henderson is nice. Clean with wide streets and avenues. Lots of new construction going on.FredZeppelin77, Upinsmoke and Chinatown Thank this.

89052 - is zip code we decided on. Lots of beautiful communities in this zip code.
"Inspirada" is in this zip code. I just checked Zillow.com and there are many nice homes for sale. Also, plenty of condo's and apartments in 89052.

I'm about 4 miles due East of Loves & Burgerwhopper, and my neighborhood is older and on a different well than the newer buildings on Miller road.
Last I heard, City of Buckeye was on 4 different wells and the further South you go from Loves, the worse the water is.Upinsmoke and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Barney Trucking has positions open for various locations in UT.
Upinsmoke, D.Tibbitt, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
I lived in Tucson for 15yrs and no way would I say every neighborhood is bad. There are lots of nice areas in and around Tucson.
Green Valley and Sahuarita exploded in population and were having crime issues when I left in 2012.
P. S. Op Texas is full. No new starts here.Flat Earth Trucker and FredZeppelin77 Thank this.
