I just moved from NYC to Baltimore and am having trouble getting the two forms of official mail needed to twitch states on my CDL which will take another month. Will local jobs still hire me if I have an out of state CDL?

Yes. They will likely want you to get it changed asap, especially if you're going to be running local/intrastate only.

I've seen no shortage of job ads that specifically say that states CDL. Since he just moved he'll most likely be fine but don't assume everybody takes them. I'm sure the OTR jobs could care less, but local stuff sometimes does.

A lease or mortgage paperwork and the thing you get at your new address from USPS saying you forwarded your mail "Permanently" will satisfy that.

I just went thru this moving from CT to N.C. Wife & I were lucky that we bought a house so we had that paper work and we got insurance to the insur. Co. gave us papers so we could get our license & car reg changed.

Also know you will need to recertify too.

Now what did hang us up a little is N.C. wants your middle name spelled out on one of the ID forms you hand them not just the letter of your middle name. The only thing I had was my birth cert.
