I will accept any and all advice. I'm 56 and semi-retired for 8 years living in Brazil. I am moving back to the U.S. with plans on starting a new career
in the trucking business. My wife and kids are staying behind so I won't have that pressure of wanting home time. This is with my wife's blessing.
I am looking for advice from the experienced trucker. I am flexible on location for now, type of job again flexible but I'm am leaning towards ND and driving whatever in the Bakken region.
My idea is to work three years there and gain enough experience to start my own company.
Appreciate any advice.

Just curious why you're leaving Brazil? It's at the top of my list once I get completely fed up with the US system.

OK, so to understand, no trucking experience, been in Brazil for 8 years, and want to get into trucking. In your early fifties. I suppose it's doable. Since you mentioned N.D. and the oil fields, start there. Go to the local newspapers (on line version) and see what you can find out. But be very careful of who you might hire on with, been hearing some horror stories of very flakey employers up there.
