So my company has decided to switch my truck out in favor of a 2017 Peterbilt 579. Was wondering how different the feel is between a Cascadia and 579. I heard the turning radius sucks with the Peterbilt. I run alot of tight east coast deliveries and pickups.
Any input is appreciated.

You won’t have to wear ear plugs to hear yourself think.
Nice comfy ride.
Comfy interior.
But the computer. Anything electronic has a mind of its own. And it’s retarded. -
Atleast the truck wont fall apart when u hit a bump

It's a truck, a truck is a truck, I would think a cut above a cascadia myself though.

Canadianhauler21 and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

It really does not matter. The Pete will show a few things to you that the Cas wont. However the newer truck would be somewhat better in overall noise and what not.
There isnt a pete you cannot get into a dock yet. They don't always build them that big. You probably will find a small toolkit and so on will be of help with the pete. With the Cas you would just hollar at the shop to deal with it.D.Tibbitt, WesternPlains and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
Get yourself a butt pillow. 579 has the worst seat.
And the windshield wipers are cr@p.ChevyCam and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
The 579 has horrid headlights. Be prepared to upgrade the bulbs.
Dna Mach Thanks this. -
Huh, I thought the lights on my new company 579 were pretty great. The low beams are way better than my old Century on Highbeam and the Highbeams on the 579 are nothing short of stellar..... and I run 2 lane Montana at night where the deer and elk far out number the other rigs on the road. Wonder if they had ours upgraded already??? I'm still not digging the Auto for mountain driving, but the rest of the rig is very comfy...
