MOVING TO FLORIDA lake city near i-10 and i-75. Anyone hiring?

Try Wilson Trucking.. But they are in Valdosta Ga, which is about 60 miles north of Lake City..

 

Jacksonville FL has United Parcel Service (UPS) facilities down there. Perhaps you could apply for a job with them. They have tractor trailer trucks.

Another suggestion would be Jacksonville Transit, the city bus company in Jacksonville FL.

 

Swift has a terminal in Ocala and they have a Walmart dedicated account in that area . Plus , Swift company drivers are getting another raise in May .

 

You can run over to the Nestle water plant in Lee and see if they are hiring for anything. A few things around Madison, Lake City, etc like the target DC.
Check DMT in Lawtey FL, down in 301. They have decent equipment, run flatbed and are hiring. It is home most weekends.

 

Salmon Company's do allot of the mail hauling in FL. I think they hire out of Jacksonville.

Talked to a guy who was hauling fuel for this company at the local Costco. The company is out of Holland Michihan and he said it was a really good company to work for and is expanding their hauling in Florida. He was driving a nice new 389

 

He'll need a twice card if he wants to do fuel.

We deliver their diesel, the drivers are pretty happy.

 

I am working for Heartland and have no problem getting in or out with freight. I live in the Tampa area and also just moved down there from Pa.

 

I moved down with Heartland from Upstate NY, was running out of Columbus.
TONS of freight in the area. Almost all of it heavy, but allot of it. Only loads that are not heavy seemed to be cardboard.
