Moving to Florida. OTR all 48 based out of there. Help

I know you mentioned sticking with what you know but you might consider food grade tanker like Indian River or Oakley, you’ll be running in out of Florida on a regular basis.

Lots of outbound freight for refrigerated trucking. Some dry van freight for refrigerated trailers also. Probably 99% of loads I hauled out of there came from CH Robinson. I was a company driver and the company loves CH Robinson because never had a truck stuck in Florida because of no outbound freight.
0/0's call CH Robinson, "Cheap & Heavy", but that doesn't affect company drivers.

 

I appreciate this post very much. I haven’t received my CDL yet and am looking for a paid program. My two choices right now are between KLLM and Wilson Logistics… KLLM just started with their new pay raise on Feb 1st, I found out. I think the clear answer would be to go with them, but I’m having my doubts as to whether they would actually be able to provide the miles Wilson would potentially would…

 

Stevens Transport runs 48 states. The pay is a little low, but the miles are there.

Thanks @Chinatown. Forgot to mention that I’m located in Atlanta, GA but definitely want to go OTR and travel. Looking for another place to move. Already have my CDL permit and DOT physical. I’ll inquire about Dutch Maid also.
