Moving to West Tennessee looking for good LTL/ Local delivery company

    I am a new driver with 1 year experience. I have my tank/haz-mat & doubles/triples endorsements. I'm moving near Jackson Tennessee & would really like to be home every night. What companies offer LTL/Local deliveries & how much can I plan to make? Any ideas on the chances of being hired driving locally right away? Thanks

    the job market in this area, is slim for anything local. There is a big averitt terminal,old dominum,yellow and a conway lt. There are several small "regional"type companies that pull van freight, the jacksm market has a big demand for flat bed.

    I was hopin to get a job delivering fuel, seems like it would pay the best. Do you know who I should contact when I get to Jackson?

    almost all the fuel trucks are based out of memphis tn. not real sure about any fuel companies.

    Yep lots of tanker jobs on Presidents Island there in Memphis.
