As long as you agree with everything JB Hunt makes up and tells you is "Federal Law" you're golden. The first time you disagree with them and have to say something because your conscience bothers you, turn in your keys and walk away.

Until then, buy JBH stock and dump the max amount into the company's 401-K. You just might make retirement- if you have the discipline to ignore your common sense and self respect.

Yep I too even as a JB driver have heard horror stories. Even within my regional pool of drivers. Most complaints were about their dispatcher not paying detention. I was lucky to have a dispatcher that was a driver for many years and as long as I did what was required by JB policy he had no problem paying me. I'm not sure what training JB puts dispatchers through but they seem to not really understand trucking, truckers and the industry as a whole. I'm sure some truck drivers don't always treat them with respect either. My opinion on Recruiters is, I'm only guessing they maybe get a base pay then a bonus for each person they pull in and JB hires. So there is a good chance they will over sell the position. When I first started I was very worried myself. Thats why I started posting on here to let people know that I was doing good. Doing regional intermodal won't make you rich. I averaged 2200-2500 miles. But it worked for "ME" because I didn't start till Monday morning and was done Friday afternoon. Now I still work Monday thru Friday but I work a late afternoon/evening shift till I work my way up in seniority. I have a son that is 7 and my time with him is very important so JB is a good fit for me since I have my whole weekend off. So in ending I will say this. If you want to work Monday thru Friday, have a FULL 10 hours off each night, stay busy as I was and don't require a 1,000 gross pay check then KC regional intermodal is for you. I will keep giving updates good and bad on my new run as a local guy. As always if you have any questions ask them here or PM me. Good Night all.

I'm going to Orientation on the 11th for local KC intermodal. I've been OTR with another large company for 3 1/2 years and haven't had any problems with them. I always made more than the average pay they told me I would make. I'm only leaving them because they don't have anything local that pays more than $600 a week and I need a little more than that to keep my bills paid. JB Hunt tells me I should make $850 a week on this local KC intermodal account. I'm a hard runner, I do my job and don't sit around complaining. Do they keep up their end of the bargain?

Hello again everyone. Sorry its been a while since I gave a update. Things are still going great. As a matter of fact not only is my local intermodal gig going great I also train all the new hires for local. I also just drove to KC and picked up a brand new truck. I know there are horror stories and yes everyone knows that JB isn't perfect. I do know in recent years they have cleaned up some of the BS recruiters. Anyway I still work 2pm till about midnight or a little later 5 days a week. I gross on average 1,000 a week. Currently I'm looking at making close to 50,000 this year. Don't believe me? I will even post pay stubs, personal info blocked out of course. I know recently they increased the starting mileage pay for the regional intermodal. If your looking for a job where your always moving and want your full 48 hour weekend I highly suggest you give JBI a try. Any questions just give me a shout or you can even call me.

    mje Thanks this.
