so im wondering about the 3 year rule with companies about moving violations. when they say no careless or reckless tickets in the past 3 years does that mean 3 years from the day you got the ticket?? because i went to court and fought my ticket (careless driving) and got it dropped down to unsafe operation but i went to court like 8months after the ticket was issued. so would the 3 years start when i got the ticket issued or when i got the ticket downgraded? please anyone who knows id apperciate it very much. im looking to get on with MCT or Millis transfer ASAP ive been wanting to drive for soooooo long and now im finnaly old enough and in the position to be able to go OTR without having a GF or apartment to pay and whatnot so im looking to get going asap
Moving violation question?????? trying to get into trucking!!!!

To be quite honest the way i remember it it runs from the conviction or paid date you can go to ur local dmv and get your mvr and check...As long as you dont have a bunch of tickets in three years there is a good chance of some companies taking you also depends where you live as some places are more desirable...Best of luck to ya and hope this was of some help
Deuce88 Thanks this. -
the companies aren't going to check the court dates and the arguments or the reduced charge....they look at what is on your DMV print out. 3 years from the date of the posting on your print out.....very simple....
and what the post above said!Deuce88 Thanks this. -
thanks guys im going to go to my dmv and get a print out of my driving record and see what exactly is on there

It is date of conviction.
