No inspection, which surprised me. I have been seeing a bunch of trucks getting inspected all over the place the last few weeks

Here is a list of offenses that Texas considers moving violations for point purposes for in state or out of state violations, but your best bet is to call and ask.

    Figure: 37 TAC §15.89(b)

Call US Legal. It's a prepaid legal service that many megas use. The cost is around $25 a month.

They have something called the "Free Challenge". Its a way to try the service out AFTER you get a ticket. They will locate and pay for an attorney in or near the county of the offense.

If you cannot find the number let me know. This is a way for you to get an attorney for as little as $25. No setup fee or unexpected charges other then the monthly. Even if it has to go to trial.

Fighting a ticket in some places means two trips to court. There comes a tipping point on how much time you can lose and it not cause some serious loss of income. I am all for Justice and points. However like I said in another place my fighting a charge cost me OVER $1500 in lost income (and I was very close to home). making the decision to fight a ticket a driver should take all the aspects into account. The best thing though is to stop putting yourself in the position to get them to start with!

Notarized waivers should allow you to avoid most court appearances.
